Single filament wedge bulb on AP2 cars: Honda part 33303-S30-003, the same T20 21W single filament used in the front turn signals. On an AP2 the rear lamp takes four identical 7440s, two for the turn signals and two for the reverse lights, because the tail and brake function is LED.
Bulb charts commonly list a 7443 here. That is the dual filament version; it fits and works, but the factory bulb is the single filament 7440.
The changeover is confirmed at model year 2004. Honda catalogues the AP1 amber bulb and its socket for 2000 to 2003 only, and neither appears in the 2004 parts diagram.
Source: Honda parts catalogue, bulb 33303-S30-003, described by Honda as "BULB (T20) (12V 21W) (KOITO) (SINGLE FILAMENT)(CLEAR)". The 7443 on forum charts is the dual filament substitute, not the factory fitment.
